The beachfront village at Cabanas contains a good choice of shops and restaurants, and this continually-developing resort offers an increasing selection of low-rise apartment complexes. Many private villas can be found in the surrounding areas, where the scenic countryside is full of olive groves and orange and almond trees.

Dating back to 2000 B.C, Tavira is of huge historical interest, full of beautiful churches, a restored Roman bridge and plenty of riverside bars and cafes.
