Beach
C'an Picafort has a long 10km sandy beach made of 2 parts - Son Baulo and Playa de Muro - both offering facilities such as sun loungers, umbrellas, and a convenient pedestrian promenade, with safe swimming conditions, thanks to the gently-shelving sands. Behind the beach at Son Baulo is a protected nature reserve. 
 
Water Sports and Sports
Pedalo hire, windsurfing, water-skiing and scuba-diving can be enjoyed at the resort, with hotels and apartments offering swimming pools and tennis courts. There's also a go-karting track here - the biggest on the island and a number of golf courses within a 20-mile radius.   
 
Boat Trips
The working harbour at C'an Picafort features plenty of boats coming and going all day, and offers departures such as glass-bottomed boat rides around the bay and trips to the headland of Cap de Formentor.
 
Local Area
For those wanting to explore the local Majorcan countryside there is horse riding available from the resort, as well as mountain biking and jeep-safaris, which can show visitors to plenty of off-the-beaten-track sights on the island.
 
Archaeological Sights
The area has the largest number of archaeological sites on Majorca, many of which date back to pre-Roman times. These include the burial site of Son Real Necropolis and a giant wooden maze at El Laberinto - great for children.
 
S'Albufera Park
The bird sanctuary is a major attraction for nature-lovers and features wetlands and canals in a huge park, set in the surrounding countryside. It houses birds from all over Europe, who return to nest each year, and offers scenic walks and trails, with free admission.
 
Markets
C'an Picafort is home to a bustling local market twice a week, selling handicrafts and a host of bargains for tourists, including regional food and drink, clothing and gifts.
 
Day Trips
Alcudia lies around the bay, and offers excellent shopping and dining, a charming Old Town to explore and a water park for family entertainment. Local towns and villages nearby such as Santa Margalids offer a taste of true Spain, and the Caves of Drach in Porto Cristo are close by.
