Bubion Weather

Bubion is located in the Las Alpujarras region on the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, in the Costa del Sol region of Spain. Positioned 30km inland between the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains, at an altitude of 1,350m, the village enjoys a mild temperate climate, with an average of 320 days of sunshine each year.  

 

Bubion Weather - Spring and autumn best times for walking and hiking 

Boasting a warm southern climate and low humidity, the weather in Las Alpujarras is enviable, and ideal for those looking for a relaxing break in scenic countryside. Due to the mountainous terrain, the weather in Bubion can be very changeable, with conditions varying quite quickly at some times. Spring in Bubion sees an average temperature of 16C - 20C, and an average of 30mm of rainfall during April and May - ideal conditions for exploring the rolling countryside whether on foot, bike or horseback. Summers experience hotter drier weather, with an average of 22C in June, often rising to 28C - 30C in August, with a glorious 12 hours of sunshine and limited rainfall - around 10mm. During the hot summers, outdoor activities are best limited to mornings and late afternoons. Temperatures drop back down to 24C in September and 22C October, with around 50mm of rain falling each month in the autumn, and the showers generally being short-lived.  

 

Bubion experiences short mild winters, with low temperatures of around 12C in January, dropping more dramatically at night. November is the wettest month, receiving 95mm, with general winter rainfall hovering at around 50mm each month.
