Bogmalo Weather

Bogmalo is situated at the top of South Goa, on the coast of the Arabian Sea just 18km from the international airport. A former fishing village, Bogmalo is now a quiet beach resort offering a relaxing base, with its tropical climate ideal for sunbathing and swimming. Temperatures don't vary dramatically throughout the year, but rainfall and humidity levels fluctuate during the seasons.   

 

The best time for a holiday in Bogmalo is between November to February, when the average temperature is 24C. Winters see temperatures range from 23C - 25C, sometimes reaching up to 31C, and there is generally about 8-9 hours of sunshine each day. There is minimal rain during these months, with February being the driest. With a water temperature of between 27C - 30C in the winter, conditions are optimum for water sports and diving in Bogmalo. Temperatures start to rise in March, reaching over 30C during May, and the days become more humid during the build up to the monsoon, with increased cloud, and 7 hours of sun.

The southwest monsoon affects Bogmalo from June to September, during which time there are winds and heavy rain. The average monthly rainfall in the region is 325mm, with July being the wettest month seeing 923mm. During the monsoon season, Bogmalo sees 3-5 hours of sunshine each day.
