General Things To Do Weather
Beaches
Bogmalo beach is in a sheltered spot and offers a quieter base for relaxing sunbathing on the Arabian Sea. The swimming conditions are safe here, thanks to the calm shallow waters, and friendly beachfront shacks offering delicious local food at cheap prices. The town is still a fishing village, with boats going out daily.

Scuba Diving
Go Scuba diving! Bogmalo is home to one of the few dive centres in Goa, offering PADI-approved instruction in open water diving, and guided dives out to sites such as the shipwreck at Grande Island and the plate coral off the coast.

Water Sports
Windsurfing, jet skiing, parasailing and fishing are also available here. The resort holds the National Windsurfing Championships every year between August and December.

Walking & Trekking
The beach is ideal for relaxing walks, and trekking along the foothills to the popular Hollant Beach, just 2km away, offers some spectacular coastal views.

Museum
Bogmalo is home to a Naval Aviation Museum, which displays exhibits such as weapons and artillery relating to the Indian Navy, and has a Jet Fighter simulator for visitors to try.

Food & Drink
No trip to any Goan resort is complete without trying the spicy and delicious food of the region, and Bogmalo offers beach shacks, cafes and restaurants in which to sample both familiar and more unusual dishes. Seafood is a speciality here, with plenty of kingfish, pomfret, crab and prawns on the menu.

Entertainment
Bogmalo is a fairly quiet town, with both Western bars and local hang-out's, and the town also boasts a hotel with a mini-casino. For a livelier day or night out, travel to one of the resorts in the north of the island, such as Baga, Calangute or Anjuna.

Day Trips
Day trips include a visit to the charming Sao Jacinto Island, with its chapel and an ancient spring which the locals still use for water, a dolphin-watching trip from Benaulim, Colva to experience its Sunday Beach Bonzana or a visit to an elephant orphanage. Go to the night market at Arporra, the street market at Mapusa for some excellent shopping, or the bustling centre of Panjim, the capital city.
