With the temperatures starting to soar in May, summers in Bodrum can reach 30C and above during the hottest months of July and August, with plenty of sunshine and virtually no rain. There is no humidity, and even in the evening the temperatures only drop to around 20C. Summers benefit from the cool and refreshing wind, the Meltemi, which blows from the Aegean from May to October, and reaches its peak during the height of the summer. The spring is an extremely pleasant time to visit, with temperatures reaching 22C, with April and May the perfect months for walking and hiking through the green hills and blooming valleys.

Autumn still sees up to 8 hours of sun a day, with the water still warm enough for swimming, and the average temperatures of up to 24C ideal for sightseeing. During the winter season between November and March, Bodrum sees cooler weather, with average temperatures dropping to 10C or below. The winters are also much wetter, with most rain falling during December and January, and the area sometimes seeing heavy storms.
