Bocca dell'Oro Weather

Bocca dell'Oro is a tiny hamlet located just 3km from the harbour town of Porto Vecchio, which lies on the southeast coast of Corsica. The region enjoys a typically Mediterranean climate, with hot summer months and mild winters. Attracting many walkers and hikers, one of the most popular times to visit Bocca dell'Orra is during the cooler spring and autumn months, when the wildflowers are in bloom and the area is lush and green.

 

April and May sees pleasant warm weather in Bocca dell'Oro, with an average temperature of 14C -16C, and the sun shining for 7 - 9 hours each day. The temperatures start to rise in June, reaching an average of 20C, and by July and August the average temperature is 24C, sometimes rising as high as 32C, with a brilliant 11 hours of sunshine each day. The local beaches of the south are a major attraction during this time, with the warm waters of the Mediterranean, which reach 23C during the peak season months, being ideal for swimming and water sports. Days during the summer are generally dry, seeing very limited rainfall in July and August and a maximum of 6 days of rain in June and September.

 

Winters in Bocca dell'Oro are mild, with the coldest month of January seeing average temperatures of 9C, and a maximum of 4 hours of sun each day. This period is the wettest, with an average of 11-12 days of rain falling each month from October to April.
