Boca Chica Things To Do

Beaches
Boca Chica beach is absolutely gorgeous. You’ll love the fine white sand and crystal clear turquoise cove a mile wide – the ultimate tropical paradise. And it is safe too. The water never gets more than around four feet deep and the reef acts as a natural breakwater, so the sea is almost always flat and calm.

Water Sports
Watersports are a firm favourite at Boca Chica, and you’ll find an amazing variety of things to do in and on the water. There’s swimming and scuba diving, fishing and banana boat rides. You can even hire a yacht and have your own on-board party! Plus there’s kayaking, windsurfing and sailboarding, sailing, reef diving, Jet Skiing and a wealth of planned island excursions.

Diving
This place is a diver’s heaven, and there’s a multitude of hire shops, diving schools and diving trips in Boca Chica, something for everyone from novices to experienced divers.

Nightlife
Boca Chica is a bustling, friendly place. You can sit around drinking espresso at a pavement café, watching the world go by. Delicious local dinks are often served from a pineapple or coconut and the local beer, Presidente, is popular with holidaymakers. As is Cuba Libra, a particularly refreshing drink made with local rum. Or try the many fun pubs, discos and clubs.

See a Show or Visit the casino
The resort’s three biggest hotels all have a spectacular nightly show. And the Hamaca hotel’s luxury casino is open to everyone.

Horse Riding, Bicycle and Motorbike Touring
Take a horse ride inland through lovely country trails or ride along quiet beaches. Hire a motorbike and make your own adventure. Or hire a bicycle and experience Boca Chica and the surrounding area at a slower pace!

Restaurants
Enjoy eating all kinds of local and international foods, from small local cafes to exclusive hotel restaurants.

Golf
The Dominican Republic has several great golf courses: at Casa De Campo, Dye Fore, the Guavaberry Country Club (very exclusive!), P.B Dye and Punta Cana.

Local Pleasures
Try the simple pleasures… if you’re inclined, you can test Boca Chica’s local cigars, have a massage on the beach, have your hair braided by friendly locals, buy CDs of local music and shop with local people for delicious, fresh local fruits, vegetables and local delicacies.

Altos de Chavon
Hire a car or book a day trip and visit the spectacular village of Altod de Chavon. Recreated by artisans in traditional 16th century style, this stone village gives a glimpse of the country’s dramatic past.

Visit Santo Domingo
Santo Domingo is close by and only takes an hour to get to. Here, you’ll enjoy a rich history and interesting culture, great shopping, varied dining, contemporary discos and excellent casinos.
