Bitez Things To Do
Beaches
The high quality blue flag rated beach in Bitez is just one of many golden beaches within the region. On the beach are private sections as well as those open to the public allowing you to decide how to spend your time. In the distance you can see the island of Kos and the picturesque harbour is just round the corner. Each year the Bodrum Cup, a big sailing tournament, is held just off the beach.
Sports
There are a multitude of sports you can participate in on a holiday in Bitez - including excellent quality wind surfing, scuba diving, sailing and yachting, biking, horse hiding over the amazing countryside as well as the normal sports you would expect to find in a town which has grown up with tourism in mind.
Boat Trips
Turkey is well known as a yachtsmen’s paradise however if you have never been don't let this put you off. It's easy to charter a yacht with captain if you are part of a group or become part of a group going out on a traditional wooden Turkish gulet. This is one of the best ways to see the coastline from another perspective whilst experiencing a way of life which has existed for generations.
Walking
During peak season we wouldn't recommend taking long walks however outside of the summer peak hiking within the scenic countryside is an excellent day out. There are plenty of trails to choose from, winding through fragrant pine forests and olive groves.
Nightlife & Entertainment
Bitez is quiet town with a number of bars and restaurants open in the evening. It is great to while away time here however if you are looking for a holiday which is action packed day and night you will have to go to Bodrum town centre or Gumbet where there are bigger clubs which are open most of the night.
Day Trips
For a change of pace, the bustling town of Bodrum is just 10 minutes away, and Bodrum Castle makes for an interesting excursion. Family fun can be had at the Dedeman Water Park and the Greek island of Kos is a popular boat trip. History-lovers will enjoy experiencing the famed sites of Ephesus, Troy and Pamukkale - all accessible from Bitez.
