Weather in Bermuda - Subtropical climate on island in the Atlantic Ocean
The island of Bermuda sits in the Atlantic Ocean, off the east coast of the USA and north of the Caribbean, and experiences a subtropical climate. Bermuda is affected by the Gulf Stream, which carries warm humid air over the island, and creates the mild weather seen throughout the year. The most popular time for a beach holiday to Bermuda is from April to October, when the temperatures are the highest and the warm sea is ideal for swimming and water sports, although the summers do see a rather uncomfortable level of humidity.
 
Bermuda Weather - Tourist season runs from April to October, can be hot and humid
April marks the beginning of the tourist season, with daytime highs of 23C and night-time temperatures of 14C, and although the sun shines for around 8 hours each day, the sea remains fairly chilly, hovering around 21C. May experiences highs of 26C, and by June the temperature has reached 28C, with the sea warming up to 24C. Conditions are still pleasant and not too hot and sticky, but by July and August the temperatures reach 30C - 31C, and there's a definite increase in humidity, continuing until September. Night-time temperatures in the height of the summer range from 19C - 22C each evening.  Bermuda sees a fairly constant amount of rain throughout the year, with an average of 125mm falling each month, which helps to keep the island lush and green. July is the driest month, only receiving 96mm.
 
Weather in Bermuda - Mild year-round climate, winters can see windy conditions
Winters experience temperatures from 22C - 23C, with the sun shining for an average of 4 - 5 hours each day. There is no humidity from December to April, and this mild weather can be ideal for sightseeing, and outdoor activities such as tennis or golf. Water temperatures range from 19C - 22C in the winter, with the sea generally too chilly for swimming. Bermuda can see very windy weather during the winter, and the temperatures can drop dramatically due to winter storms in the Atlantic. Hurricane season in Bermuda runs from June to November, and thanks to its location in the Gulf Stream, Bermuda does lie in the direct path of many hurricanes, although the storms tend to weaken when they hit land.
