Holidays in Benidorm – The largest and liveliest resort on the Costa Blanca The wonderful sandy crescent-shaped beaches of Benidorm cover a 5km stretch and are known as some of the cleanest and most popular in Europe. The main beach at Benidorm is Playa de Levante, ‘the sunrise beach’, located on the eastern side of the resort, and with its’ fine white sands and clear waters backed by numerous cafes and shops, the beach is a huge draw to all visitors. A smaller less crowded beach, Playa de Poniente, can be found in the west of Benidorm by the old town centre, offering a slightly more peaceful atmosphere and a wonderful sunset at the end of the day (Playa de Poniente translates to ‘the sunset beach’). A little sandy cove, Mal Pas, lies by the port and is the departure point for the many boat trips that are available in Benidorm. There are plenty of watersports to choose from whilst holidaying in Benidorm, including jet-skiing, water-skiing, parasailing and scuba-diving, and behind the beach sits the promenade - a lively stretch of tourist shops, bars, cafes and restaurants and a huge selection of high-rise hotels and apartments.
