Belek Things To Do

Golf is huge in Belek, and with six world class courses it is no surprise. The excellent climate, beautiful backdrops and peaceful courses make this one of the best destinations for golf holidays outside of Europe, whether you are taking an afternoon off or looking for a week long holiday with a day on each course. The courses here range greatly and you can test you skills on all of them within a week all under the warm sun of Turkey.

 

Like the rest of Turkey, Belek has more bars, clubs and restaurants than you can shake a stick at, so eating out, stopping off for a swift half or going out for the whole night is always on your doorstep. The food is normally of excellent quality and if you like fish, then this is the right place to come on holiday as they are hauled out of the crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea on a daily basis. There is plenty of local produce to try, however no trip to Turkey is complete without sampling Raki, so make sure you order this at least once.

 

The Canyon national park is outside of Belek and through it runs the Kopru River, which is known for its excellent trout fishing. The park itself is full of wild life such as deer, bears, foxes, mountain goats, rabbits, wolves and badgers, so bring your camera as it is likely you will see something you might not always catch a glimpse of at home. The park is also known for its excellent quality rafting, and rafting trips can often be booked directly or through your hotel for those interested in activity holidays.

 

Turkey is well known for its beaches, and Belek is no exception to this rule. There are a number of blue flag beaches which guarantee excellent quality water, and as the Aegean Sea gentle laps at their shores, there is no danger to the children on beach holidays here. For the more active, the winds that blow across the sea create a great opportunity for water sports.
