Baros Island is located in the North Male Atoll of the Maldives, in the Indian Ocean. The climate is tropical, with hot humid weather all year round, and plenty of sunshine. The island experiences two monsoon seasons during the year, with the best time to visit Baros Island being from December to April.

The two monsoon seasons directly affect the weather on Baros Island - with the northeast monsoon, which runs from November to April, bringing dry weather, and the southwest monsoon bringing plenty of rain from May to October. January and February see the lowest humidity levels and the driest weather, with February seeing the least amount of rain, around 68mm. Average temperatures are high in January and February, around 28C, and rise to 29C - 30C in March and April. Water temperatures during the period from January to March remain a very warm 28C - ideal for scuba diving, and water sports. Sunshine is plentiful, with Baros Island Resort seeing a minimum of 7 hours each day from May to September, and a maximum of 9 hours in March. March to June sees the highest levels of humidity, and the highest temperatures, an average of 30C.
