Technology now allows tour operators to manage their stock of holidays more efficiently. This means that they're less likely to be left with rows of empty seats just a couple of days before departure that they're desperate to fill. The golden rule of holiday bargains is to travel outside of the school holidays, give it 2-3 weeks either side of the summer holidays and a week either side of the Easter holidays and half term.
