Bardolino Weather

The lively and popular lakeside resort of Bardolino benefits from a very mild climate all year round. Temperatures in Bardolina can reach near the 30C mark during the peak summer months and have often been know to climb higher than this. Lake Garda itself and the sheltering mountains help to maintain a stable climate and by May the lake is warm enough to swim in. Bardolino is located in an area of changing seasons, and although holidays in Bardolino during the winter are a popular option it can get chilly at this time of the year. The summer months will tend to be dry and hot and rainfall will be most prominent during the early spring and late autumn months.

 

From May until the end of October the temperature in Bardolino will not usually dip below the 20C mark. The resort does start to become busy from May onwards and the peak summer months of June, July and August will bring temperatures rising to the 30C mark. The water temperature during the summer will be around the 25C mark and is perfect for activities such as windsurfing and swimming. Bardolino can become very hot during the summer months but there is usually a breeze that will keep the heat at a manageable level. Sunshine levels in Bardolino are high, and holiday makers can expect around nine hours of sunshine per day from May until the end of August.

 

For holiday makers who prefer slightly cooler temperatures a holiday to Bardolino during spring and autumn will be ideal. Temperatures during May and October will range from 18C to 25C although it has been know to become much hotter. Spring will bring short lived rainfall that accounts for the lush countryside and Lake Garda is particularly beautiful at this time of the year. The cooler temperatures are perfect for exploring the lake and taking paddle steamer trips to nearby towns such as Garda and Lazise.
