Bamburi Beach Weather

The resort of Banburi Beach lies on the south-east coast of Kenya, 8 miles from Mombassa. The region sits on the Indian Ocean and enjoys a hot tropical climate, with an abundance of sunshine all year round. Temperatures do not fluctuate dramatically during the year; however rainfall does increase dramatically during the spring.

 

Visitors to Banburi Beach see the best weather conditions from January to March, when the days are dry and humidity is at a comfortable level. Temperatures range from 31C - 32C, with 9 hours of sunshine each day, and rainfall is very limited - ranging from 17mm to 58mm each month. Sea temperature is very warm - around 28C and 29C - creating ideal conditions for swimming and water sports. The rainy season falls in late spring, when Banburi Beach sees frequent and heavy rains - April typically receives 176mm of rain, and the wettest month, May, experiences 275mm of rainfall.

Summers see the coolest weather, with temperatures of 28C, and slightly less sunshine each day - around 7 hours. Night time temperatures dip to 21C, and the amount of rain is fairly stable, with July to September seeing between 60mm - 80mm, and October and November receiving short bursts of heavier rainfall, up to 100mm each month.
