Facilities also include a restaurant and bar on site, and a nearby supermarket provides all the necessary staples. The stretch of coastline by Balaia is home to a series of beautiful beaches; all backed by the colourful sandstone cliffs of the Algarve, and two Blue Flag beaches just minutes away. Praia da Maria Luisa is a small uncrowded beach, with plenty of rock pools to keep children amused, whilst the beach at Santa Eulalia is busier, and boasts a windsurfing school, two excellent restaurants, one right on the beach and the other overlooking the sea, as well as one of the best clubs on the Algarve, ‘Locomia’.

Located between Albufeira and Vilamoura, Balaia is ideally placed to enjoy all that the Algarve has to offer, from its’ wonderful sandy beaches, to the great nightlife and championship golf courses. The lively ‘strip’ of Albufeira is close by and the place for nightlife with its’ tourist bars and clubs, and both the more traditional Old Town and the family-friendly Olhos d’Agua also offers some good authentic Portuguese restaurants. Whilst staying in Balaia, other activities to enjoy, in addition to golf and tennis, include horse-riding, clay-pigeon shooting, go-karting, diving, boat trips and deep-sea fishing.
