Bahia Maimon Weather – Tropical island paradise
Swathes of white sand beaches and an abundance or tropical sunshine are two of the major reasons for a holiday in Bahia Maimon. The climate on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic is typically tropical with an average annual temperature of 30C and sunshine levels of eight hours per day. A typical day in Bahia Maimon will be filled with bright blue sunny skies and high temperatures. Although Bahia Maimon can be described as a Caribbean sunshine paradise there is a wet season that occurs from October through to January. However, rainfall will appear as short lived cloud bursts and will not dampen the high temperatures.

June to September is considered the best weather period in Bahia Maimon, although most holiday makers consider the climate here to be perfect all year round. The beaches at Bahia Maimon and nearby Sousa and Puerto Plata will be busy at this time of year. Temperatures during this period will be over the 30C mark and the sun will be shining down for around nine hours per day. The Atlantic Ocean will also be the perfect temperature for swimming, snorkelling and of course scuba diving, which is a major water sport in this area. Humidity levels can be high at this time of the year but cooling ocean breezes will take the edge from the heat.

Weather in Bahia Maimon – Christmas Caribbean Sunshine
Bahia Maimon is an all year round sunshine destination and temperatures are still around the 30C mark outside of the peak season months. November to February is also a very popular time of the year for a holiday in Bahia Maimon. Rainfall is minimal at this time of the year and humidity is relatively low. Rainfall in Bahia Maimon is at its peak during November and December but again rainfall is short lived and should not spoil any holiday.
