British Airways has unveiled its flight schedule for summer 2008 with a selection of new routes from Gatwick Airport. Flights from Gatwick will operate from, March 30th, to Alicante, Faro, Gibraltar, Malaga, Malta, Palma, Poznan and Tunis. Other new routes from BA commencing later in the year include Antalya (April 10th), Genoa (April 4th), Ibiza (June 1st) and Paphos (July 1st).
A well as announcing new routes from Gatwick, BA will start flights from London City Airport to Amsterdam, Barcelona and Warsaw from May 6th.
BA have also confirmed that a small number of existing Gatwick routes will be moved from their Gatwick base to London Heathrow, including British Airways flights to Algiers and Warsaw. A new service from Heathrow to Malaga will also be unveiled.
As the first phase of The Open Skies Agreement comes into play, BA will also allocate some of its transatlantic routes to Heathrow, including US flights to Dallas and Houston, whilst it’s existing Heathrow – Detroit service will be suspended. Amongst other suspensions are Gatwick flights to Aberdeen, Nice, Prague and Reykjavik and London City flights to Milan Malpensa.
