Nightlife The nightlife in Ayia Napa is the reason thousands of holidaymakers flock to this resort year after year. The party capital of Cyprus is sleepy during the day but in the evening the vibrant town centre is filled with music from the many bars and discos. The party atmosphere continues long into the night with many beach parties finishing around sunrise. This is Cyprus's premier party destination and if it's fun you are after Ayia Napa has it all.
Beaches The beaches in Ayia Napa are second to none on the island and the golden sand stretches for hundreds of metres. Ayia Napa beach is the place where everyone relaxes during the day after a hard night's partying but there are some secluded beaches in the area that you can escape to. Cape Greco or the Green Bay beaches south of Protaras are particularly tempting if you fancy some seclusion while soaking in the sun.
Watersports If you are not too tired from the previous nights partying then there are plenty of energetic watersports in Ayia Napa. Down by the beach you can find jet and water-skiing and for the more daring, para-gliding. The crystal clear, warm waters are particularly good for diving and snorkelling, or you can just have a swim to take the edge off the heat.
Theme Parks The Ayia Napa Water World complex is one of the best in Cyprus and has a vast array of slides and tubes and is great fun for kids and adults alike. Ayia Napa also boasts a great dinosaur park with moving dinosaurs that make pretty frightening sounds and is an unusual way to spend the day. There is also the Ayia Napa fun fair with thrilling rides that will definitely get the adrenalin pumping, if you are brave enough.
Sports There are plenty of sports in Ayia Napa if you are feeling energetic. Football, tennis, hiking, horse riding and even mountain biking are all popular in this area. For those who are feeling less energetic, you can try your skills at mini-golf or table tennis.
