Weather in Aruba The island of Aruba lies in the Caribbean Sea, north of the Equator and just 30km off the South American coastline. Known as one of the most temperate of all the Caribbean islands, Aruba enjoys a dry sunny tropical climate, with an average annual temperature of 28C. One great benefit of a holiday in Aruba is the fact that the island conveniently lies south of the hurricane path, making it safe from the strong tropical storms that pound the area.
Aruba weather - Ideal tropical climate, little difference between summer and winter The summer and winter tempertures see only a very slight variance of between 3-6C, with temperatures ranging from 27C during the January and February up to 30C in the August. The high temperatures are cooled by the constant trade wInds that blow across the island, making for pleasant sunbathing weather, as well as ideal conditions for water sports - especially wind surfing and sailing - and island-hopping trips. As well as low variances between summer and winter temperatures, there is also little difference between the day and night temperatures, with the sun being at its strongest between 11am and 3pm every day.
Weather in Aruba - Islands' location means it escapes hurricanes The Caribbean island sees an average rainfall of 18 inches a year, with the rainy season occurring between October and January, and the rain generally coming in short bursts. Although Aruba is located outside of the hurricane belt, the island is occasionally affected by the fringes of regional tropical storms. The humidity in Aruba varies from 66% in April up to 72% in November.
