Our review of Aruba...
This tiny Caribbean island, the most western of the Dutch Antilles, offers plenty for the sun-worshipper and water sport fanatic, with its miles of pristine white sandy beaches and warm clear turquoise waters, boasting temperatures of around 27C. Lying on the edges of the hurricane belt, Aruba conveniently escapes the many tropical storms that the area is known for, instead seeing near-perfect year-round weather. Away from the coast, the interior is much less-developed with a desert-like landscape. With excellent facilities for scuba-diving and wind-surfing, activities such as golf, bowling and horse-riding, a host of varied accommodation and a diverse cuisine, Aruba offers an idyllic base in the Caribbean for those looking for a relaxing beach holiday.
