Day Trip To Mahon
Less than 20 minutes away from the resort, the island capital of Mahon makes a rewarding and worthwhile day trip out with much of historical interest and excellent shopping facilities. Its unhurried yet cosmopolitan atmosphere can be seen in its charming waterfront and pedestrian streets full of traditional cafes and boutiques. Spend time for relaxation in its shady town square and flower gardens or explore its impressive 17th century fortress offering fabulous views of the Mahon skyline.
Mount Toro
Visible from most of Menorca, this commanding peak is known as the spiritual centre of the island. An undemanding climb to the summit will afford wonderful panoramic views and see a 300 year old sanctuary carved out of rock which houses a community of Franciscan nuns.
