Beaches Antalyas' coastline offers plenty of beaches on which to relax, from those in the main resorts boasting numerous facilities and services, to tiny hidden gems dotted amongst coves and inlets. Although most holidaymakers choosing to just bask in the sun and swim in the warm blue waters, the larger busier resorts offer water sports such as jet-skis, banana boats and parasailing. Golf The region is fast becoming an up and coming international golfing destination, with Belek, close to the town of Antalya and the airport, emerging as one of the most important golfing centres in the country, home to numerous courses and with many more planned. With its wonderful Mediterranean climate and spectacular backdrop, the region is a true golfers' paradise.
Horse riding The varied landscape of the Antalya region is ideal for exploring on horseback, whether it's along the stunning coastline or through scenic paths in the mountains and valleys. The spring and autumn is the best time to enjoy riding, when the hillsides are in bloom and the weather is not too hot.
River rafting An increasingly popular activity is river rafting, with many visitors tempted to try this adventurous sport on many of the crystal clear rivers that flow down from the mountains. A fun family activity, rafting takes in the spectacular scenery of the region and shows off the natural beauty of the inland areas.
Sights to see The Antalya region is rich in ancient ruins and archaeological sites, with some of the most popular attractions including Olympus and the Fires of Chimaera, Termessos, Perge and Aspendos. Other impressive natural sights to see include some of the regions' dazzling waterfalls, such as those at Karsunlu and Manavgat, a number of fascinating caves, such as those at Karain, and the Olympos National Park.
