Anaxos – Good main beach and lots of tiny coves
Anaxos holidays are very much focused on the beach which is a west-facing 3km stretch of pale gold sand and shingle with beautiful sunsets. Bars and tavernas are dotted along the beach with views out to the tiny islets in the bay. Watersports are available. Tiny coves to the east provide plenty of spots to really get away from everyone and can be reached by road or lovely mule trails along the cliffs. Avlaki beach is a tiny sandy cove with a couple of great tavernas. Ambelia beach is another quiet relaxing beach around the headland. More good beach tavernas are found at nearby Tsichrada beach.

While the resort is slowly growing Anaxos remains a very small, pleasant and characterful place to stay and retains some authentic Greek atmosphere being surrounded by cultivated agricultural land full of olive groves.
