Alykes Potamos Weather

With around 3000 hours of sunshine per year holiday makers can be ensured of a warm welcome in Alykes Potamos. This charming resort is an all year round sunshine destination boasting long hot dry summers and short mild winters. Peak summer months will see temperatures heading over the 30C mark and rainfall is rare during this period. Unlike Greece’s southern islands Corfu does not suffer from intense heat and the climate is comfortable with relatively low levels of humidity. Summer comes early to Alykes Potamos and by April the temperature will have crept over the 20C mark. High temperatures of 30C will arrive by July although this temperature level can be exceeded on a daily basis. Sea temperatures during the summer will be a warm 25C; perfect for swimming, snorkelling and diving holidays. Alykes Potamos benefits from 12 hours of hot sunshine per day during the summer months, and 15 hours of daylight is the norm. The nights will also be warm and balmy with evening temperatures hovering around the 20C mark.

 

Spring and autumn here are popular seasons with warm sunny days and temperatures of 20C and over. Easter holidays and October holidays are busy in this family friendly resort. The sun will be shining down for around seven hours per day and the entire island is fresh and fragrant. With a flight time of less than four hours and constant year round sunshine Alykes Potamos is the ideal winter sunshine destination. There will be higher levels of rainfall but showers will pass quickly and are a highlight of Corfu winters.
