Altinkum Weather

Altinkum is one of those resorts that appeals to families. It is quiet, safe and has long wide beaches with plenty of space for kids to explore in a clean and safe environment. The water is crystal clear and shallow and the beaches wide with golden sand. The weather here is hot and dry, much like the rest of the Mediterranean, so remember to bring sunscreen in the summer months. Temperatures usually reach highs of 35C and can be stifling, but with the resort set up to ensure a pleasant environment for all, drinks and refreshments are available on the beach.

The sea remains a warm 20C throughout most of the year, with temperatures dipping in the winter months. Activities around the beach include diving, sea kayaking and wind surfing and each is a great way to make the most of the warm temperatures. Another great way to explore the Bodrum region is on foot with some great walks available into the gentle hills that form the landscape. In the hottest summer temperatures it is advisable to speak to someone local before heading into the hills. A cheap holiday in Turkey will certainly delight those seeking something a little different from their break, but who don't want to give up their sunshine.

 

You'll discover a neat and tidy resort, without the huge high rises of many of the Mediterranean's more established resorts. Winter temperatures do drop here, but visit in the spring and autumn months to top up your tan whilst avoiding the hottest summer temperatures. Temperatures dip in the evenings but day time highs can be as much as 25C.
