Almerimar Golf Course
If you are on the lookout for more active things to do in Almerimar, then a visit to Southern Spain’s oldest golf course may just whet your appetite. Designed by legendary South African golfer Gary Player, this course was recently renovated and now accommodates 27 challenging holes to pit your wits against. The surrounding area also boasts several other golf courses.

Skiing
The snow-covered Sierra Nevada Range can be seen towering over the resort from almost any point. Its spectacular Sky Station Ski Village is only a short journey away, meaning you can gain direct access to the slopes within a couple of hours. From November to March, this unique location means that you can literally be Skiing in the morning and on the beach in the afternoon. Other mountain activities include rock climbing, canoeing and cycling. 

Outdoor activities
Holidays in Almerimar are popular with active tourists. Cycling and horse riding are popular in the resort centre, whilst boat excursions depart regularly from the marina taking tourists on deep-sea fishing tours. With Almerimar positioned on a major migration route, bird-watchers or naturalists will delight at the many different species to look out for whilst soaking up the sunshine in some dramatic natural surroundings.

Almerimar Beaches
There is some 13 km of beach in Almerimar, with water sports well catered with jet skis, pedalos and banana boats. Alternatively, choose one of the many blue flag beaches to relax and soak up the sunshine. Many of which are just a couple of minutes away by car.

Almerimar Marina
Originally a fishing village, Almerimar now boasts one of the finest marinas in Spain, featuring over a thousand yachts and boasts. The centre piece of Almerimar, the marina has plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, whilst also catering for water sports such as surfing, sailing and diving.  The nearby beach, which has been awarded a blue flag for cleanliness and safety, runs adjacent to the marina with a beautiful promenade behind it.
