Almancil Weather - Fine and bright almost all year round
Almancil enjoys a Mediterranean type climate which is much influenced by the Atlantic, having a moderating effect on the heat in high summer and ensuring reasonably mild winter temperatures. Located in a sheltered position slightly inland, Almancil weather is very settled for much of the year and rarely gets too hot or high in humidity. Summers will see an excellent record of sunshine with almost no rainfall for several months and continuing clear blue skies and warm evenings. Unpredictable weather fronts begin to arrive in Almancil by October or November which sees a gradual drop in temperatures, although still mild and comfortable for most people and a bigger likelihood of rainfall.

Weather in Almancil - A perfect hot and sunny summer climate
Summer is the busy tourist season and the attraction of fine and dry sunny days bring in thousands of holidaymakers every year. In fact between June and September it is not unheard of to be completely rain free throughout. In some years droughts occur through sustained hot and dry weather which can last well into autumn as many of the Algarve's rivers dry up. Temperatures should be up to 28c in August and often higher for short spells and seeing 12 hours of sunshine. In spite of this Almancil weather is rarely oppressive or indeed humid and sea temperatures are surprisingly warm.

Almancil Weather - Mild winter sunshine
From October Almancil weather is likely to see some rainfall which can be heavy and prolonged although as winter progresses this settles down to light infrequent showers as temperatures fall. As a guide, up to 10 days each month in winter may be rainy although rarely is a complete day ruined by wet weather. Cloudy conditions may persist for several days in January or February and evenings may feel a little chilly. Still mild temperatures should be enjoyed of 18c in November and up to 6 hours of sunshine. Throughout winter, days of outdoor activities such as golf or horse riding can still be enjoyed without discomfort.
