Alicante Weather - A perfect climate all year round The weather in Alicante is typically Mediterranean and produces a fine, mostly dry climate year round with consistent hot sunshine and clear days from May to October and milder temperatures during winter months. Due to this favourable climate Alicante attracts visitors all year round and an average of 300 days of sunshine can be enjoyed annually. Alicante receives less rainfall than resorts closer to the mountains in the north such as Benidorm and Denia and has more stable climatic conditions with slightly less variation in temperatures through the year.

It has a unique localised weather system that produces this dry weather due to its sheltered position surrounded at a distance by hills and high mountains. Temperatures are pleasantly mild and rarely fall below 13c through winter. Around 5 hours of sunshine will be experienced on a typical winter day. Outdoor activities, sunbathing and even swimming can be enjoyed on all but the coldest days although night times will feel fresh and sometimes a little chilly.
