Alghero Weather – The sunniest region of Italy
Alghero weather is pleasant all year round with temperature highs of 39C. Extremes in any season are very unusual and as such Alghero promotes itself as an all year round holiday destination. Sardinia itself promises more hours of sunshine than any other region of Italy with its Mediterranean climate providing hot dry summers and cool, yet mild winters.

Weather in Alghero - Intensely hot summers
Sardinia’s central Mediterranean location gives it hot, long and dry summers with average temperatures of 25C.  A holiday in Alghero in spring will allow you to experience the magnificent surrounding countryside in full bloom whilst summer brings soaring temperatures and fantastic beach conditions between May and September. It should be noted that August can bring some intensely hot temperatures which may linger on through to the end of September - perhaps not ideal for those who are not used to the extreme heat.

Alghero Weather – Pleasant winters
Despite the fact that temperatures drop in the winter, Alghero holidays are still very pleasant during this season. Alghero weather is altogether wetter, cooler and a little less predictable during winter with temperatures averaging at 10C. Alghero, with its north westerly location, is generally not as dry as the south and receives a fair amount of rain in November and December. January holidays in Alghero are popular as the days can be warm and dry although there are a limited number of daylight hours.
