Our Review of the Algarve...
The Algarve is clearly our most popular holiday destination in Portugal. The Algarve offers a splendidly varied choice of family resorts with fabulous sandy beaches and a wide range of reliably good quality accommodation, from cheap self-catering apartments to luxury village-style hotels. The Algarve enjoys some of the sunniest weather in Europe. Mild winter weather makes the Algarve one of our most popular European winter sun destinations, particularly with golf enthusiasts drawn by a truly outstanding choice of first-class golf courses and comfortable, enjoyable resorts like Vilamoura and Quarteira. Whether you choose long-standing British favourites like Albufeira and Praia da Rocha, or likeable charming gems like Lagos and Tavira, you will find plenty of tempting bars and restaurants, outstanding sports facilities, great beaches and a child-friendly welcome. Don’t miss out on the traditional villages and pretty countryside in the Algarve interior.
Customer Reviews of the Algarve...
“We’ve made so many great friends over 14 years of reliably enjoyable holidays on the Algarve. All the beaches are so good but if we had to pick a favourite it would be Praia da Falesia. Praia da Luz has a really friendly atmosphere and was a big favourite when the kids were small. Spain is great but for us it’s got to be the Algarve for a touch of class.”

We think it’s hard to beat the Algarve when it comes to good cheap family holidays abroad and reliable hot sunny weather. The apartments in resorts like Alvor are excellent value and there’s a nice choice of fun things to do for kids and adults.

I’d like to thank your sales staff for recommending Moncarapacho. We’ve tended to change resorts with each of our winter golf trips but I think we’ll be staying in Moncarapacho for the foreseeable future! Lovely accommodation in the Vila Monte Resort and we were agreeably surprised by the quality of the restaurants.

I loved going on holiday to the Algarve, especially the wonderful beaches with their clean golden sands. If you're worried about the high temperatures there's always a cool refreshing breeze along the coastline. Although there are many modern resorts, you only have to walk along the coast to find an old fishing town to explore. The resort that me and my family stayed in was very comfortable and well kept and the people are very helpful and friendly.

"I have stayed in Oceano Atlantico and it was fabulous. Apartments are excellent and very spacious - a truly lovely complex. Close to the beach and the strip of Praia da Rocha. Also within a 15min walk to the lovely town of Portimao. Lovely pool and bar and restaurant excellent. Do book it you will really enjoy it - staff very helpful!!"
