Albufeira Reviews
Our Review of Albufeira...
Consistently one of our most popular Algarve resorts with customers looking for great sandy beaches, an animated atmosphere and a huge selection of cafes, restaurants, bars and discos. This enjoyably lively resort is immensely popular with British holidaymakers and attracts a nice mix of young singles, families with small children and older travellers. There are certainly quieter and smaller resorts on the Algarve, but few can match Albufeira’s string of fine sandy beaches and its unpretentious fun atmosphere. An extensive choice of cheap hotels and apartments, and a great place for early and late-season bargains.
Customer Reviews of Albufeira...
“Good place for a lively summer holiday. Our fourth time in Portugal and three of those in Albufeira (the other one was Armacao de Pera which is good too!). Nice hotels and there’s no shortage of evening entertainment. We love the more authentic restaurants down by the fisherman’s beach. Great fun night out at the casino in Villamoura, we even came out quids (well Euros) in! Lots to do for kids too.”

“The beaches here really are great, even by Algarve standards. Try Olhos d’Agua beach and some of the smaller beaches heading towards Gale. Check out Praia da Falesia down the coast. The beach goes on for ever! Yes, ok it’s pretty lively, but it’s not rowdy and there really is something for everyone. You can always go inland. It’s amazing how different it all is in just a few miles.”
Ms C Hopkins, Bromley UK
“Albufeira isn’t just about beaches and nightlife. Don’t miss out on the original old village. Lots of cobbled streets and lovely fishermans houses. The countryside inland is really different from the beach scene too. Think I’d look for a hotel on one of the quieter beaches next time, but no complaints overall. Definitely back to the Algarve next year.”
