Alanya Weather

Certainly one of the most spectacular peninsulas in the Mediterranean, you will discover some of Europe’s finest scenery in Alanya; made even more spectacular by summer daytime temperatures that rarely drop below 27C. Any one of the three splendid beaches that lay along the Alanyan peninsula are worth visiting on your trip, and each has its own unique character. The weather here is ideal for days spent enjoying the white sand beaches and dipping into the sea to cool off. Sea temperatures in summer are 21C on average and you will find plenty of water sports on offer here enabling you to make the most of the perfect weather.

 

That Mark Antony is said to have given the region to Cleopatra is some witness to the history of the area. You will find all kinds of ancient fortifications, remarkable hill forts and character-full fishing harbours that will make your cheap holiday in Turkey one to remember. The weather in Alanya is ideal for making the most of your summer holiday, but it’s also a great place to come, away from the summer season, when cooler temperatures and gentle breezes swathe the area in a warm glow and bask the surrounding mountains in glorious colours.

 

You will find winter temperatures in Alanya quite a bit cooler than the roaring summers, however, if visiting impressive sights like the Damlatas Caves, or even just experiencing a Turkish city as the locals do, is your cup of tea, then you shouldn't be put off by the greater likelihood of rain.
