Weather in Aghia Triada - Hot and sunny in the Cretan countryside 
The village of Aghia Triada lies 4km inland on the north coast of Crete, just 10km from the town of Rethmynon. Set in lush green countryside, at the foot of Mount Psiloritis, Aghia Triada experiences a typically-Mediterranean climate, with hot dry summers and mild winters, and like the rest of the island, enjoys a longer than average holiday season.  
 
Weather in Aghia Triada - Warm spring days, hot dry summers
Spring weather in Aghia Triada sees warm temperatures of 20C, and up to 8 hours of sunshine, in April, the start of the tourist season. Conditions are excellent for touring the region and visiting the Minoan site, exploring the countryside, and enjoying outdoor activities such as walking and cycling. There's a little rainfall at this time, with April receiving 32mm during the month, helping to keep the countryside green and evening temperatures or just 11C. The temperature heats up in May, when the village sees highs of 24C, and up to 10 hours of sunshine, and by June, Aghia Triada is enjoying average daytime temperatures of 28C and highs of 19C in the evening. Peak season months of July and August reach highs of 29C - 30C, with a glorious 12 hours of sunshine, and the days are extremely dry, with high humidity. At this time most visitors tend to visit the beaches of the coast, and enjoy sunbathing and swimming in the warm waters or the Mediterranean, which hover around 25C.       
 
Weather in Aghia Triada - Mild winters, with more rain
The weather remains hot and sunny in September, when the average daytime high is 27C, only dropping to 23C in October, with the village still enjoying between 6 - 10 hours of sunshine during these autumn months. The days are wetter in October, however, with Agios Triada receiving 84mm of rain, increasing to 75mm - 100mm in November and December, and January seeing the most rainfall, an average of 142mm. Winter temperatures range between 14C - 16C from November to February, with this low-season period seeing around 4 hours of daily sunshine.
