The number one tourist centre in Morocco, Agadir offers plenty for those looking for a modern resort with clean beaches, Western-style hotels and a host of facilities. WIth a distinct European feeling, this popular beach resort on the Atlantic Coast offers a taste of the exotic at excellent prices, with an enviable climate. Agadir is ideally placed between the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert, with the vibrant city of Marrakech within easy reach, and offers plenty of options for day trips for visitors seeking a truly authentic Moroccan experience.

"Don't go expecting the real Morocco - it's a modern place with lots of European hotels and restaurants, but we thought it a good choice for a beach holiday with some guaranteed out-of-season sun, plus good value for money. We went on lots of day trips to make the most of our fortnight - don't miss a visit to Marrakech, which is fantastic and very exotic, and I'd recommend one of the 4x4 tours out to the desert - stunning!"

Plus there are really good tourist facilities - golf, horse-riding etc, and it's a short transfer time from the airport."

"Great shopping in Agadir at half the prices if you haggle (of course). I'd say it would be best for couples, as the nightlife is tame, but there are lots of really great restaurants serving wonderful Moroccan food if you like that!"
